Permits are required by almost all local councils in the UK for skips that need to be placed on public land, including footpaths and the highway. Permits can be obtained from 1 day up to 28 days in most cases. We can also arrange and order the permit on your behalf as well as book your skip delivery!
No not at all, just leave us some instructions on where to place the skip if you’re unable to be there on delivery day.
A skip lorry will drop a skip off at your premises whenever you need it. The skip is filled, and taken away with your waste within 30 – 60 minutes (dependent on area), ideal for people who are limited on space and want to dispose of waste quickly without having to purchase a permit.
On average skips are hired for 5 days but this is completely flexible, just let us know on the phone when you think you’re going to be finished with the skip and we’ll take care of the rest for you.
Asbestos (Unless in a special asbestos skip)
The smallest size skip we offer is a 2 yard AKA ‘Mini Skip’ but most people choose to hire a 4 yard ‘midi Skip’ as it’s normally better value for money. Moving up from that you’ve got the ‘builder skips’ which are 6 or 8-yard skips. Then you’ve got the ‘Maxi Skips’ which are either a 10 yard or 12-yard skip. Commercial customers will use RORO skips (Roll on Roll off) which can go up to 40 yards.
Yes, you certainly can! We offer contactless delivery and payment over the phone, meaning we adhere to social distancing and government Coronavirus guidelines.
You will find that to hire a small-sized skip will be around £90 – £200 depending on location, size and what waste you intend to put in the skip.
Yes, you can, but you will incur an additional charge for doing so. if you’re planning on disposing of a mattress have a chat with a member of our team to see what the cheapest solution will be, possibly look at a man in a van option.
The price of a skip can vary depending on a lot of different factors. One of the main factors that can alter the price is the size of the skip that is required. The smaller the skip, the cheaper it is generally. If you’re unsure on which size skip to hire, read our blog post which should help to answer your questions. Another factor that can have a massive factor on price is the type of waste that is being disposed of, for example, any hazardous waste will increase the price of the skip dramatically. You can expect to pay between £175 & £350 for a general waste skip depending on the size and where in the country it’s going to be placed. These prices are without factoring in the cost of a permit if the skip has to go on the road.
